The central government of India has launched the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Incentive Scheme 2025. To start the domestic production of electronic vehicles in India, the central government of India has started the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Incentive Scheme 2025. With the help of this scheme, the central government of India will invite investors who are interested in the manufacturing of electronic vehicles in India. The interested manufacturers can simply visit the official website and apply for the scheme online. The Government of India will start receiving the applications under the scheme from 24th June 2025. The last date to apply for the scheme is 21st October 2025.

The central government of India, along with the Ministry of Heavy Industries of India, has launched the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Incentive Scheme Portal. With the help of this portal, the authorities will provide all the essential information regarding the scheme and allow the interested manufacturers to read all the essential guidelines and eligibility criteria. The user interface of the portal is very easy to use and understand by the manufacturers, and allows them to register themselves under the scheme without any difficulty or complexity.

Objective of the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Incentive Scheme

The main objective of launching the scheme is to start the manufacturing of electronic vehicles in India. Through this initiative, the central government of India is aiming to attract global electronic vehicle giants to India and allow them to start their manufacturing in India itself. Approved companies can import high-end electric cars (worth at least USD 35,000) at just 15% duty (normally higher), for 5 years. All the Global and Indian electronic vehicle manufacturers must make a budget of INR 4150 crore to be eligible under the scheme. Through this scheme, the international electric vehicle manufacturers can start the manufacturing of electric vehicles in India.

  • STEP 4: After entering the details, the manufacturers can click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
